WMDA/CAR: OUR HISTORY

WMDA-CAR was established in 1937 as a trade association serving independent businessmen and women who own and operate service stations, auto repair shops, convenience stores and other auto repair related businesses. As a watchdog group monitoring local and statewide legislation affecting the industry, we have earned a reputation for proactive lobbying on behalf of our members.

In addition to lobbying, we inform and educate association members through training, monthly and annual publications, an annual trade show and much more. We have over 80 years of historic milestones achieved.
